10 panels of culinary adventure

👨‍🍳Step 1 of 10

Chef speaking

👨‍🍳

Chef

Panel 01

Step 1 [🔥 Fire Master]: Heat your medium skillet over a high flame and add the 1 tbsp of oil. Once shimmering, toss in the 1 garlic clove. Sauté for exactly 20 seconds to release the aroma without letting it burn!

🧑‍🍳

Sous Chef

Panel 02

Step 2 [🔪 Blade Master]: Add the 200g/7oz chicken mince to the pan. Spend the next 2 minutes breaking up the meat with a spatula until it changes from pale pink to a firm white consistency.

🔥

Fire Master

Panel 03

Step 3 [🧂 Flavor Alchemist]: Mix in 1 tablespoon of the red curry paste, the 1 tsp curry powder, and the 1 tsp dark soy sauce. Stir constantly for 60 seconds to coat every bit of the chicken in those rich spices.

🧂

Spice Lord

Panel 04

Step 4 [🔥 Fire Master]: Push the chicken aside to create a clearing in the center of the skillet. Drop the remaining 1/2 tablespoon of red curry paste into that hot spot and toast it for 30 seconds to awaken the bold flavours.

👑

Royal Taster

Panel 05

Step 5 [🍲 Broth Keeper]: Pour in the 1 1/2 cups chicken stock. Once the liquid reaches a bubbling simmer, adjust the flame to medium-high and let it bubble away for 1 minute to let the ingredients marry.

👨‍🍳

Chef

Panel 06

Step 6 [🥢 Noodle Steward]: Carefully place your 2 instant ramen or noodle cakes into the skillet. Gently nudge the chicken aside so the noodles are as submerged as possible in the liquid bath.

🧑‍🍳

Sous Chef

Panel 07

Step 7 [⏱️ Time Keeper]: Allow the noodles to cook for exactly 45 seconds undisturbed. Flip them over gracefully, cook for another 30 seconds, and then use two wooden spoons to gently untangle and separate them.

🔥

Fire Master

Panel 08

Step 8 [🥜 Sauce Wizard]: Push the noodles to the perimeter. Into the center, whisk in the 3/4 cup coconut milk, 3 tbsp peanut butter, and 2 tbsp cider vinegar until the sauce is completely smooth and luxurious.

🧂

Spice Lord

Panel 09

Step 9 [🥗 Green Guardian]: Scatter your 2 big handfuls of baby spinach over the top. Toss everything together for about 30 seconds until the leaves wilt into vibrant ribbons, keeping the sauce loose and glossy.

👑

Royal Taster

Panel 10🎉 Grand Finale!

Step 10 [✨ Presentation Pro]: Portion the noodles into your finest bowls, crown each serving with the 2 tbsp finely chopped peanuts, a handful of fresh coriander, and a daring drizzle of Sriracha if desired, and it is now ready for the royal feast!
